'Quamplurimi et quam aptisimi" (As many as possible of the very best)
AGSB Clark
August 13, 2015
As the class comes to a close tomorrow, allow me to review what we have accomplished so far.
1. Starting activity - Debate, are leaders, born, made or transformed/situational. It was a great way ot have Leaders thinking and clarifying their ideas on Leadership. The HBR readings theorize they are made (why - favors them so that many would enroll in leadership class
2. Readings - authentic leadership, leadership from within, masks of leadership, Campbell monomyth, blog posts.
3. Group work:
1. Crimes
2. Team building outdoors at Clear Water Country Club
3. Unstructured group activity
Leadership subject at AGSB is an Ateneo advantage. It emphasizes leadership from within, authentic leadership. One of its pillars is love. This is odd in a cold steely corporate world. The others are heroism, ingenuity and self awareness. The goal of leadership is not only to develop oneself but to clone other leaders. Everybody has potential to be leader. What we do, even if we do not have followers influences/affects others. It is time to define Filipino leadership too

Last night, the penultimate night before the semester ends, was a another great night in the life of the Class of Leaders. 26 call to arms speeches covering wide range of advocacies, health care, education, tsinelas leadership, breastfeeding, leadership, youth leadership training, taking care of visions all reveal the gifts and talents of the leaders in the class. They revealed themselves, to me to each other, their gifts which they can use to make the world a better place. As they reveal themselves in their speeches, and the audio visual presentation, one gets a better and deeper picture of the leaders, much more than an enneagram, or a genogram, or a 10 page paper does.
