Summary of the Leadership Class Activities

'Quamplurimi et quam aptisimi" (As many as possible of the very best)

AGSB Clark
August 13, 2015

As the class comes to a close tomorrow, allow me to review what we have accomplished so far.

1.  Starting activity -  Debate, are leaders, born, made or transformed/situational.  It was a great way ot have Leaders thinking and clarifying their ideas on Leadership.  The HBR readings theorize they are made (why - favors them so that many would enroll in leadership class

2.  Readings -  authentic leadership, leadership from within, masks of leadership, Campbell monomyth, blog posts.

3.  Group work:

     1.  Crimes

     2.  Team building outdoors at Clear Water Country Club

     3.   Unstructured group activity

4.  Reflection papers:

     1.  Defining moments

    2.   External factors

    3.  My Passion

5.   Class participation:

    1.  Ennagrams

    2.  Genograms

    3. Blog comments

    4.  Recitation

6.  Final requirements:

    1.  Audio Visual Presentation

   2.  Final Integrative Paper

It is all a matter of submitting #6 so that I would be able to submit the grades to the Registrar by end of August.  The interim excel files have been sent to the Class Secretary so that you will be properly guided

The 4 and 5 all lead to #6 the final requirements.  May the 6 activities have imbued in all the leaders, new and better understanding of Leadership.  May the Power of Leadership be with you Always.

Indeed, Prof. Jorge, the six sessions "have truly imbued in me a new and better understanding of Leadership. Thank you for empowering us. I have written so much already in my Final Integrative Paper, and yet I am still very far from over. It only means that I have learned a lot!

  2. This lecturer advised the class as early as the 3rd session to prepare for the final paper and AVP. There was indeed pressure because of the current system (ie to submit the grades 7 days after end of the semester) There was stress and pressure because as true leaders you want to transcend your old self your previous accomplishments. May this post also stress that it is the learning that counts not the grades....Those who did their best deserve to get the highest grade possible, those who did not put much effort (and they are all itemized in the xls sent to you) know the outcome....
