Regis Cebu Leadership by Leader Ivy Eleanor Ko - Enneagram Results

Dear Prof,

I am submitting my Enneagram Paper, though I will further improve this because I am not too happy to the way how this was written, as I was confused with the levels of integration and disintegration requirements that I saw in the syllabus.  This is just to beat the deadline.

Enneagram Test Results
I took three Enneagram Exams from different providers and all three test results shows I am a type 3, Achiever. Two of the results showed I have Wing 2.

This is a Copy and paste result from the Eclectic Energies site:  http://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/evaltest.php

CEBU REGIS Leadership ENNEAGRAM & LIFELINE Leader PL Castañeda

CEBU - REGIS Leadership
ENNEAGRAM & LIFELINE
Leader Pedro Leonard G. Castañeda

The Enneagram was a new test to me when I took it, and I took two versions of it: the basic test and another version with instinctual variants. The following show the results:
Based on the basic test, I seem to have a 3w4 or 4wd personality, which corresponds to achiever (Type 3) and designer (Type 4). The variant test showed a different result, identifying me as a challenger (Type 8) but interestingly, scores showing types 3 and 4 were also strongly manifested.

I then plotted my simplified lifeline, which is shown below, to help me identify significant manifestations of my supposed personality type.

WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL (1980-1998)

TYPE 3: Achiever
Type 3's are described as  people who "need to be validated in order to feel worthy; they pursue success and want to be admired. They are frequently hard working, competitive and are highly focused in the pursuit of their goals." Based on academic accomplishments, such as being part of the 250 students to pass the Philippine Science High School Exam out of tens of thousands of examinees, getting the top score in the NCEE in 1990, and getting into one of the most difficult quota courses in UP Diliman showed that I could excel in academic competition. Perhaps this had to do with being constantly told by my late grandmother of how brilliant my mother was, and of being constantly pressured to excel in school.

TYPE 4: Individualist
However, the negative side of my type 4 personality probably caused me to lose both achievements by not being able to focus on sustaining success. I can be moody and erratic, and probably, my insecurities about being an illegitimate child, about being poor, and the glaring contrast between my lack and the relative abundance of my half-sisters, contributed much to this.

Type 4's are described as "emotionally complex and highly sensitive. They long to be understood and appreciated for their authentic selves, but easily feel misunderstood and unappreciated... they  are often somewhat moody or temperamental." There was a positive side to my individualism and desire to be appreciated: there are times when wanting to stand above the crowd can prompt me to think out of the box (which is also a type 3 manifestation) and "prove to the world" that I am a person of worth

My enneagram Leader LIZ

Enneagram Type 3 - The Achiever

Focused on the presentation of success, to attain validation
Enneagram type 3 - the AchieverPeople of this personality type need to be validated in order to feel worthy; they pursue success and want to be admired. They are frequently hard working, competetive and are highly focused in the pursuit of their goals, whether their goal is to be the most successful salesman in the company or the "sexiest" woman in their social circle. They are often "self-made" and usually find some area in which they can excel and thus find the external approbation which they so desperately need. Threes are socially competent, often extroverted, and sometimes charismatic. They know how to present themselves, are self-confident, practical, and driven. Threes have a lot of energy and often seem to embody a kind of zest for life that others find contagious. They are good networkers who know how to rise through the ranks. But, while Threes do tend to succeed in whatever realm they focus their energies, they are often secretly afraid of being or becoming "losers."
Threes can sometimes find intimacy difficult. Their need to be validated for their image often hides a deep sense of shame about who they really are, a shame they unconsciously fear will be unmasked if another gets too close. Threes are often generous and likable, but are difficult to really know. When unhealthy, their narcissism takes an ugly turn and they can become cold blooded and ruthless in the pursuit of their goals.

Because it is central to the type Three fixation to require external validation, Threes often, consciously and unconsciously, attempt to embody the image of success that is promoted by their culture. Threes get in trouble when they confuse true happiness, which depends on inner states, with the image of happiness which society has promoted. If a Three has a "good" job and an "attractive" mate, she might be willing, through an act of self-deception which is also self-betrayal, to ignore the inner promptings which tell her that neither her job, nor her mate are fulfilling her deeper needs. Even the most "successful" Threes, who generally appear quite happy, often hide a deeply felt sense of meaninglessness. The attainment of the image never quite satisfies.
Threes can sometimes mistype themselves when they mistake the more superficial features of their personalities as indicators of their type. So, for instance, an intellectual Three might mistype as aFive; a Three who is devoted to her role as mother might think she is a Two; a Three in a leadership position might mistype as an Eight and so on. Regardless of the manifestation however, the core of the type Three fixation is the deep need for external validation.

type 1 | type 2 | type 3 | type 4 | type 5 | type 6 | type 7 | type 8 | type 9
I checked the particular type which I got and it says Im type 3w2, I agree to some aspects but at the same time I do not agree in some things.  I think sometimes we are a mixture of personalities and there is no clearcut definition since every person is unique.  I do not fear intimacy and I am not cold blooded even when stressed out, at least that is how I know myself.  Thanks prof for the lessons you have imparted :)

Leadership Speech shared by Leader Dr. Suzette K. Munoz

Good am Prof.  You asked us to prepare a speech po for our communication skills. Prof, this is a speech po I delivered before the youth in one of the Youth Leadership Camps I sponsored po last November 2013. This is a project po of the Ang Lahi Movement of our mother Church where we inspire, encourage and empower our youth today to dream big and become leaders.

You Can Be a Leader Too!

I was young once. I still remember the good old days when I was your age. I came from a large family of 10 children. I am the third oldest, a twin. My twin sister is just a few minutes older than me. We are both doctors. Did I know I wanted to be a doctor? Yes. I knew from a very early age that I wanted to be a doctor. Lucky me, right? But it wasn't all that easy.
Growing up in a large family had its ups and downs. My parents had to work a lot. I learned at an early age to stay focused on my goals. Although my parents worked many hours, they were very good role models, especially my mom.
You, young people, need role models. This can be your father, mother, brother, sister, a relative, your teacher, friend, coach, a TV personality, famous person, or even Jesus. We all strive to be like our role model. But we also need to know that we are unique in and of ourselves. We can't really be exactly like our role model but we can do something similar to what he/she has done, like overcoming obstacles and not giving up.
You have heard the famous cliché, "the youth is the future leader of tomorrow." Believe it or not, that is a huge responsibility! It doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be a politician to be a leader. You can be a leader in your own home, school, organization, and the like. To be a leader does not mean giving out orders. To be a leader means being a good follower. As the bible says and I quote, "whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." What does this mean? It means that we must put others first before us. It means that we must value the needs of others first before our own needs. That is the true meaning of being a leader.
God blessed each one of us with different talents. Some may be good actors, singers, doctors, mathematicians, dancers, cooks, and many more. Do you remember the Parable of the Talents? I quote from Matthew chapter 25, versus 14-29:
"For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. 15 To one he gave five talents; to another two; to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. 16 He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. 17 So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. 18 But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money. 19 Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.' 21 His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.' 22 And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.' 23 His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.' 24 He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, 'Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.' 26 But his master answered him, 'You, wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? 27 Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away."
This parable teaches us that we are here on earth to serve God and that we are held accountable for the talents that God has given us. That can be scary, isn't it? It also shows that we are not all created equal. Some have more talents than others. You might think that is not fair! On the contrary, God is the fairest of all. Did you realize that if you have five talents, then it takes five times as hard to produce something good out of it than if you only had two talents? Success is a product of our work. How we use those talents, whether you have one, two, or five, is up to us. Don't forget that God will give us everything we need to do what he has called us to do. So, don't ever put yourself down. If you think you only have one talent, then, your one talent is enough to fulfill your purpose here on earth.
Greatness is not measured by fame, popularity, wealth, or other earthly standards. Greatness is measured by servanthood and leadership is servanthood.
So, are you ready to be a leader?

Leader Oliver Pabillon Enneagram Test Results

WANTED: TYPE 3 LEADER – THE ACHIEVER TYPE
By Leader OLIVER PABILLON

I took the RHETI Type Test on July 9 while I was riding the LRT on my way from Buendia to Avenida station where I could ride a provincial bus back to Pampanga. This was my result:

Inline image

I am not 100% comfortable with the Type 9 (The Peacemaker Type) maybe because I took the test during an awkward situation and so I decided to take other test some other days.

I took the Enneagram Test 2 the week after while I was in the office (singit only during break time). My result was a Type 5 (The Thinker).

Inline image

This is only partly me. Sometimes I feel like I am this Type but not always. So I decided to take another test some other time.

I took the NEW TEST (the one with 40+ questions) and my result was: Type 2 (The Helper)

Inline image

Again this is another part of me and not completely me. There are only times when I feel like this Type. So I decided to take another test.

Just this Saturday July 18, I took the Enneagram test with the Instinctual Variant and the result was a TYPE 3 (the Achiever) with the Self Preservation Variant.

Inline image

Upon studying this type I finally was able to relate myself with it and then on the last part of the explanation it said that "Threes can sometimes mistype themselves when they mistake the more superficial features of their personalities as indicators of their type. So, for instance, an intellectual Three might mistype as a Five; a Three who is devoted to his role as father might think he is a Two; a Three in a leadership position might mistype as an Eight and so on. Regardless of the manifestation however, the core of the type Three fixation is the deep need for external validation."
That explains why there are times I feel like type 2 or 5. There are times when Threes mistype themelves. And so finally I can say that 3 is my Type – The Achiever Type.
(SP) Self-preservation variant
People of the self-preservation variant are generally trying to be comfortable and independent. Their well-being is very important to them, so they pay much attention to their health, house and financial position. They are less interested in interpersonal contact, and are typically less spontaneous and don't show as much emotion as people of the other two subtypes of their enneagram type. (this is exactly me)
Achievers are energetic, optimistic, self-assured, and goal oriented.
Leave me alone when I am doing my work. Give me honest, but not unduly critical or judgmental, feedback. Help me keep my environment harmonious and peaceful. Don't burden me with negative emotions. Tell me you like being around me. Tell me when you're proud of me or my accomplishments.
What I Like About Being a Three
being optimistic, friendly, and upbeat
providing well for my family
being able to recover quickly from setbacks and to charge ahead to the next challenge
staying informed, knowing what's going on
being competent and able to get things to work efficiently
being able to motivate people
What's Hard About Being a Three
having to put up with inefficiency and incompetence
the fear on not being -- or of not being seen as – successful
comparing myself to people who do things better
struggling to hang on to my success
putting on facades in order to impress people
always being "on." It's exhausting.
Threes as Children Often
work hard to receive appreciation for their accomplishments
are well liked by other children and by adults
are among the most capable and responsible children in their class or school
are active in school government and clubs or are quietly busy working on their own projects
Threes as Parents
are consistent, dependable, and loyal
struggle between wanting to spend time with their children and wanting to get more work done
expect their children to be responsible and organized
Thanks for sharing this to us Prof.

Sharing ENNEAGRAM Test Result of Leader RCEE Mutuc

enneagram |ˈenēəˌgram|
noun
a nine-sided figure used in a particular system of analysis to represent the spectrum of possible personality types.
ORIGIN from Greek ennea 'nine' + -gram1.
Let me share my result Prof and Classmates...

Enneagram Test Results
You are most likely a type 3.
Taking wings into account, you seem to be a 3w2.

I only showed my top three (3) results since it was stated that there is no personality test that is completely accurate.

Type 3 – 10 (THE ACHIEVER- Focused on the presentation of success, to attain validation)
Type 9 - 7.7 (THE PEACEMAKER-
Keeping peace and harmony)
Type 1 - 7.4 (THE REFORMER-
Perfectionists, responsible, fixated on improvement)

Wings

Usually one has characteristics of one of the types that lie adjacent to one's own that are more prominent. This is called the wing. So someone who is a type 5, might have a 4 wing or a 6 wing. This may be abbreviated to "5w4" and "5w6". If one doesn't have a dominant wing, it is said that the wings are balanced.

Wing 3w2 - 12.9 (WING 2: HELPER-
Helpers who need to be needed)
Wing 9w1 - 11.4 (WING 1: REFORMER-
Perfectionists, responsible, fixated on improvement)
Wing 3w4 - 11.4 (WING 4: THE INDIVIDUALIST- dentity seekers, who feel unique and different)

I would say, I agree with my results sir. Thank you for sharing this Enneagram test to know our self better and be guided on our leadership journey. :)
