From Philstar  - Duterte and Cayetano proclaimed Pres and VP aspirants by PDP Laban

City Davao Mayor Rodolfo Duterte and Senator Peter Alan Cayetano were proclaimed by PDP Laban as President and VP aspirants Monday afternoon (November 30, 2015) in Manila (Century Park Sheraton)  The endorser said  that Duterte is the strongest candidate so far.  (It would seem to me that the proclamation is dramatic because they timed it on Bonifacio day.  Remember Ninoy used Marcial Bonifacio as an alias when he returned to the Philippines, in order to get a passport)

Comelec Chief said that substitution for the PDP Laban bet Dino by Duterte is legal.   Former Comelec Chairman Brillantes sees no legal impediment to the Dino substitution. He said that substitution can be allowed if the candidate comes from the same party, if the candidate is disqualified or withdraws.  Dino and Duterte come from PDP Laban

Our activities for the  2nd session yesterday consisted of me trying to stick to my plan:

Plan for the Second Session


1.   Playing the Steve Jobs commencement speech video at Stanford U (connecting the dots and 3 stories)

2.  Stories and video on authentic self and self awareness

3.  Awarding of Prizes for the winners of the debate at the first session:   Leaders are born, made, or situational

3.  Leadership Journeys of Leaders Very Rev Leader Melchor Daclan and Leader Maricel

4.  Sharing HBR readings (only 8 were discussed the whole day because others went beyond the 5 minutes allocation  The balance if the HBR readings and the Chris Lowney will will be done at the 3rd session.

5.  Planning for the 3rd session.  Leaders Bryan and Genevieve are in charge and may be done off campus.  The whole day ++ session will cover the following:

     1,  Call to arm speeches  Judges will be Leaders Bryan and Izumi. They will publish their criteria for the best speeches

     2.  Chris Lowney chapters 1 to 4.  1 and 2 will be held in the morning

    3.  Team building PM .  The theme will be on the four pillars of leadership

    4.  Fellowship and bonding after the team building.  Euphemism for Christmas party

    There may be outreach program for Asilo or Home for the aged on Sunday.

     This author will have to stay for 2 nights in Cebu for this.

 Synopsis of Movie The Lady

The Lady, a movie created in Year 2011 movie starring Michelle Yeoh and David Thelwis is my selected film for my paper. This movie is the love story of Burma's Peace Prize Laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi, and husband Michael Aris. It is also the epic story of the peaceful quest of the woman who is at the core of Burma's democracy movement. Despite distance, long separations, and a dangerously hostile regime, their love endures until the very end. Like Joseph Palmer's "Hero with a thousand faces" who travels in 12 stages, Aung San Suu Kyi also had her own series of adventures.
