Briefing from Regis Director of Operations on Development/conducting on Line Courses

Today, a group of  Ateneo faculty, (APS and Loyola) were briefed from 9:00 am to 2:30 on line courses by Adam Samhouri, director for operations of New Ventures of Regis University based in Thorton, Colorado, USA.   He briefed us on:

1.  Trends (innovation in education)
2.  Apps  (e.g Scoop it
3.  Use of tablets in schools/ education (US schools provide one to students for free if you enroll for a year a great way to retain students;  you return this when you quit
4.  Development of on line courses





Regis/Ateneo are using blackboard for blended and on line courses.

I shared my experience of using a blog, facebook in instruction, and other methods to make the delivery interactive and interesting
