Today we celebrate the feast of Sto Nino; in Cebu there is grand celebration of Sinulog. And this song was sung in our church this morning at the mass for Sto Nino.
Truly we should be thankful for the life he has given us and reflecting on Steve Jobs graduation speech at Stanford U. live as if it were the last day our life. We should spend wisely our time and talents to be a gift in this world to leave a legacy because life is short.
We can only be happy if we are grateful for the things we have and have received from the Lord (not from what we do not have and still wishing from him) When we ask for happiness, God gives us challenges, when we ask for wisdom, he gives problem to solve. When we ask for wealth, he gives us poverty to overcome. We can only be happy for the life he gives us and the aches and difficulties he gives us.
We thank that the class has ended and most have submitted their final papers. We should be thankful for the great things we discussed and synthesized in the classroom.
Above all, we thank the Lord for making us meet together as Lecturer and students in Leadership
DEO GRATIAS. Thanks to the Lord
God is in us. (En theos, enthusiasm) And we spread the word, we spread hope, and Leadership and our influence and good deeds in the days to come
Leadership subject at AGSB is an Ateneo advantage. It emphasizes leadership from within, authentic leadership. One of its pillars is love. This is odd in a cold steely corporate world. The others are heroism, ingenuity and self awareness. The goal of leadership is not only to develop oneself but to clone other leaders. Everybody has potential to be leader. What we do, even if we do not have followers influences/affects others. It is time to define Filipino leadership too
