Winners of the Last Week's Debate - Are Leaders Born, Made or Situational

'Quamplurimi et quam aptisimi" (As many as possible of the very best)

APS Building Rockwell Makati City
September 18, 2015

The judges group led by Leader VP Mel Flores yesterday announced the winner for the last week's debate:   Are Leaders born, made or situational.   As of the class departure time last week, their group (the judges group) had not announced the winner.

And the winner is Group - Leaders are born.  She said that the way the group was united and the way they held and defended the position made them win the debate.

Congratulations Leader, and they were given a prize, a small token in recognition of their being more (magis) in this particular class activity.  Keep this up

Last night was a great night for Call to Arms Speeches and Audio Visual Presentation

'Quamplurimi et quam aptisimi" (As many as possible of the very best)

Tristan, adjudged the best speaker last night

Last night, the penultimate night before the semester ends, was a another great night in the life of the Class of Leaders. 26 call to arms speeches covering wide range of advocacies, health care, education, tsinelas leadership, breastfeeding, leadership, youth leadership training, taking care of visions all reveal the gifts and talents of the leaders in the class. They revealed themselves, to me to each other, their gifts which they can use to make the world a better place. As they reveal themselves in their speeches, and the audio visual presentation, one gets a better and deeper picture of the leaders, much more than an enneagram, or a genogram, or a 10 page paper does.

Schedule of Class on Friday, July 17, 2015

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Suzette Munoz <sqkmdobgyn@yahoo.com>

Dear Classmates,

Majority of our classmates requested that our schedule of class on Friday, July 17, being a holiday, be moved to 4-8 pm instead of 6-10 pm, so that we could go home early.

I was able to communicate with Prof Jorge and he agreed to the change in time. I will just inform Sherwin tomorrow.

See you all on Friday at 4-8 PM.

Good night and God bless you all.

Dr. Suzette

Noted and confirmed.  Prof Jorge

First Session of Ateneo Leadership Class

Authentic Leadership

July 5, 2015

The early bird was Anne Boise (pronounced Beyse) and Dra Suzette.  The former prepared coffee for me and the latter gave me pasalubong from Baguio (where the ObGynes just had a convention)

It was a full lhouse (27 enrolled) and most had had supervisory and managerial positions..  But the big question is :  are they all leaders.  As we ordinarily understand this, or in accordance with Ignatian leadership

Upon the request of many, the learning agreement was taken down from the site.   Privacy issue.  I decided we will have just hard copy instead.

What took most of the class time was the personal introduction and personal journey/stories on leadership.  This took 7:30 up to 10:50.   Well, this is the best time to experience learn of authentic leadership.  I kept on repeating saying that leadership is best transmitted/transferred to others by telling stories.
