AVP-Leader Dr. Suzette's My Life's Journey to Servant Leaderhsip

Hello po Prof.  Sending you po my AVP.  Thank you so much

Here is the link po.

Thnak you for sharing Dra.  I hope other leaders would inspire other Leaders, as you do with their AVP.  Your AVP would be useful to many leaders out there as they find out more about who you are. I think we can inspire others by (according to Leader Jose Pontillas) by::   what we say, what we do, and above all by who we are.

  1. Hello po Prof. I shared my AVP on My Life's Journey and my reflection papers to my siblings po and I am happy to inform you that they were so amazed of how I have become in my life. All my siblings po are in America and I haven't really been with them for a long time since I left the US in 1990 and that is 35 years now. Every time I would pay them a visit, the most was 2 weeks. They said they were truly inspired and they didn't realize the depth of my accomplishments until they watched my AVP and read my reflection papers. It is truly a blessing that they were inspired and are willing to support my advocacies. It really made me happy that it was my family that responded first and even if they are many thousand miles away from me, their hearts are with me. One of my sisters said it is dramatic and spectacular and they want it posted in the face book to inspire others. Thank you Prof for allowing us to do the AVP and the reflection papers. Never did I realize that these will inspire them and will create an impact in their lives. Knowing them, this is an honor and to God be the glory!

  2. Maraming salamat po Dr. Little did I realize that the projects asked of you did not only develop you professionally as a leader, but strengthened the family ties, and support from your constituents. That is a great result

  3. True Prof! This course was actually a revelation to me and my family as well. We don't really talk about our dramas in life because growing up, we were full of those and the only vocal about it is our mom. We (my siblings and I) were actually strong for our mom, growing up.. and now that they read my reflection papers, my mom burst into tears when she read my 2nd reflection paper and told me that she didn't realize the great impact of our pasts. Fortunately, she finally gave credit to me that I stayed positive amidst all our trials in life. Thank you Prof facilitating the course with great execution. I did not only learn from it, even my family and staff learned from it. You were right to say that this is not a coincidence. The Lord gave us this destiny…

In addition, my husband and kids love watching my AVP over and over again.. my kids sings the background music. :)

God bless! God is good.. always.

    1. Hi Leader RCEE. I am so happy that you also experienced the same impact as I had with my family. Our leadership class has truly brought a big difference not only for ourselves, but for our loved ones as well. It brought us closer to each other and that is truly amazing! We are really grateful to God for all these and for using Prof Jorge as an instrument for these defining moments.

    2. Hi RCEE, salamat salamat. For me it all part of the job of imparting to you the little I know about the subject matter. As I have been telling, and you know this my first time (a virgin) teaching leadership. Salamat sa Diyos it turned out well for you and your family. Amen

  4. I got to know you more personally doc Zette because of our sharing in class. My impression of you before was someone with a strong personality, intimidating, and a bit unapproachable. But with our class I got to know you more. You are very warm, accommodating, generous, hardworking, and fun. I admire your dedication to your advocacies and your selflessness. Thank you for inspiring us and see you in AUF and Posh Nails :)

  5. Thank you very much Leader Dr. Allan for that very warm and heartfelt comment. I am very glad that you were really able to see the real me. Maybe the times that you have seen me to be intimidating and unapproachable was only in situations called for by the position I hold. But for those who really know me, I am truly the person you describe me to be now. In the same way, I knew you to be a person who is quiet and a man of few words but in class I was able to see that you would really go out of your way to achieve excellence. Keep up with the good work! Continue to be motivated to always benchmark excellence in all that you do. God bless always.

    1. I am humbled by your remark Pau. I never want to take credit for all my achievements. For all that I have achieved now, I give credit to God alone and there is no reason to put the air of success into my head. That is always what I teach my children as well as others because I have seen a lot of people change with power, position, and wealth. Stay humble Pau as you climb the stairs towards your growth and success. Stay grounded and it will be God who will reward you.

Agree with Doc Allan's comments... Doc to be frank, i was a bit intimidated to see you in my first day of Class during Marketing Management... I see you and Doc Daisy as a very accomplished individuals...

However, everything changed with the leadership class. Maybe because we are more exposed and shared more of our lives. I am very impressed with your life story and your advocacy. I was trying to pick something from you and apply to my life. I was checking how do you think, how do you work, whats your passion, how do you deal with people...

My greatest takeaway from you is your love for God and your generosity in order that His words and love will reach his people. And the more you give, the more you receive. Your love to our Lord is so strong that all of us in the class are renewed.

Keep sharing that love Doc Suzette... it is positively contagious... all 4 the Glory of God...

    1. Thanks a lot leader Michael. I am so happy that you are so inspired by my love for God. I am thankful and blessed that God is using me to share His Love. Everyone of us should be able to experience this in our lives because we will never attain full joy in life without the spirit of God in our lives. Ever since I fully surrendered my life to God way back in 1997, it has been "more and more of God and less and less of me." It is my prayer that you will have the same experience of God's love in your life. Be blessed always Mike.

    1. Thank you very much Leader Cora. Just like anyone, I was likewise inspired by your life's journey. Being a single mother, you really gave your best love for your children and that matters a lot because with all that you have been through, you succeeded to the highest potential.

    1. Thank you very much Leader Steph. You know very well who truly inspires us....it is God alone who inspires us to the utmost to give glory to His name! I really felt frustrated on how I would do my AVP because I really don't keep pictures. What I did was to lift this frustration to God and He then gave me the wisdom to conceptualize what I presented in my AVP. He is truly awesome.

  17. That you have made your own wheel of leadership is a true indication that you have levelled up your concept of leadership. Thus, what the SICOG showed to the plenary as a great accomplishment, ie their wheel of leadership, is something ordinary thing for you. AGSB should be very proud of you Leader Suzette

  18. Doc Suzette, thank you for the warmest welcome you gave me on our 1st session. Coming in the first time is always the hardest part in any student but the 'Leaders are made' team really gave me a good start and you, from the very beginning of my Ateneo journey, made it happen. You listened to my suggestions that gave me a good push since I know you are somebody everyone's looking up to. As the classes continue, I admire you even more especially your motherly support in every task we had worked together. I am very much looking forward for more opportunities to work with you.

God bless and more power! Just drop me a message if you need me po. :-)

    1. It was nice working with you too Leader Tristan. Hope we will get the chance to work together in the next subjects. Of course, I am flexible and will be willing to listen to those who are more knowledgeable than me in other aspects. I learned a lot from you in the team building. Keep up with your advocacy on empowering the youth for leadership. I share the same advocacy.
