The cultista wanting to sting the utouto tribe
We witnessed just recently the biggest scandal in automaking by VW. Now VW is the second largest automaker in the world and they sold $400 + billion worth of cars last year. What are they being charged with? Rigging the cars computer and system so that they show good results only when being tested but perform otherwise when running. (The software outsmarted the testers) But then, a group of technicians tried to compare the test results and actual, and found a discrepancy. The scandal involved 11 million cars. This has affected the image of VW and German technology as well
Thus we have this exercise. We do not worry so much about business starting as crooked or illegal right at the start but deceptive seemingly legitimate proper business scamming and gouging the public and the customer employing legitimate means and processes to beat the system and scam the unsuspecting public. Some start as good businesses (right) eventually sliding to be the bad one (left - reminds us of the Erap joke on Disney left)
Thus we have motivational speakers who before were for free now charging sky high fees, endorsing products and literature etc. And more.
What did the class present:
1. The jewel smuggling via implant in the human body (so as to avoid paying taxes)
2. Rigged bidding with officers and purchasers in cahoots
3. Cultista who will prey on utouto tribes
4. Kidnapping, murder, and hiding evidence by making body parts (the bone remains) as part of the ceramic. (Hmm, a good idea on how to produce souvenirs from our crematorium. There are some cremation companies that make body remains from cremation part of gems)
Group 2 - Rigged bidding
The bidder/supplier dancing with the music
The award given to the supplier who dances well with the music
Group 3 Kidnapping and murder/hiding evidences
Hmm whose remains are in these ceramics
The mask
The cultista
They had technical challenges planning the syndicate
The cult master mind was not prepared
Uto uto tribe, here comes the cultista
Presenting the crimes in creative ways makes learning easier and fun too :)
ReplyDeleteYou are right. Believe it or not, people are creative when doing this exercise (because there are no rules and people are thinking of the box. They do not do so well when doing ethical and legal activities. Why kaya?
