I would like to share my idea regarding two similarities between Mahatma Gandhi and Ninoy Aquino. Both are leaders of a revolution and used non-violence in their cause. They are peace loving people but hated injustice and inequality. They have the great courage to sacrifice their lives for the good of their countrymen, a portrayal of heroic leadership according to Chris Lowney. The question is have we gained something from their self sacrifice? Temporarily maybe, for the reality now is we are still suffering from inequality and injustice. I wont bother getting into the specifics... our present politics. We Filipinos still allow ourselves to be reigned by unqualified, dishonest leaders. How many more elections do we have to go through or to sacrifice in order to correct our failures and mistakes of choosing our leader. Do you have answers? cause I don't have one...
