Regis Cebu Leadership by Leader Bryan V. Evangelista Call to Arms Speech

Good afternoon Prof. Jorge. For your perusal

Regis Cebu Leadership

Leader Bryan V. Evangelista

Call to Arms Speech: Be One of Us

I want to start by taking stock of where we all come from. Some of
you here are employed, practicing a profession, running your own
business or are in between jobs. As you can see we come from diverse
backgrounds but one thing we have in common is that we want to provide
a good life for our family and succeed in what we are doing. Am I
right?

Now let me ask you, when was the last time you asked yourself if you
were happy? Some of you might suffer from analysis paralysis, asking
yourselves "what does he mean by happy" Allow me to make it simple for
you, something as simple as being happily married. Like me and my
wife, we are happily married – she is happy and I am married. To make
sure that we are happy, we go to workshops – I go to work, she goes to
shops.

Seriously, one of the saddest things in life is the day we decide that
being content is easier than being happy. We stop dreaming, we stop
aspiring, we start fooling ourselves that this is the best we can do,
that there is nothing wrong with leading a simple life. Ladies and
gentlemen, if you truly want to dream again, if you truly want to
aspire once again, if you want to have meaning in your life and at
work; ask yourselves are you willing to do something different to
achieve your dreams and aspirations. For you to have something you've
never had are you willing to do something you've never done.

My proposition for you this afternoon is to be one of us, be a
Financial Consultant. We provide financial solutions to address almost
every financial need through the products and services that only a
Financial Consultant can provide. This is a global business that has
touched many lives both for the Financial Consultant and their
Clients. A business that provides not only income to enjoy a better
lifestyle and the chance to make your dreams and aspirations a reality
but provides meaningful work as well. The business offers lucrative
income, bonuses, benefits and incentives such as all expense paid
travel. Now who wouldn't want to travel around the world, for free.

More than better lifestyle through the income you earn and the
benefits your receive because of your work as a Financial Consultant,
this is a business with a mission. We take the risk out of people's
lives. We replace uncertainty with certainty. This is a business with
purpose. Because of what we do here, children will always be clothed.
Because of what we do here, children will always be fed, because of
what we do here, children will always go to school. Because of what
we do here a family will always have a roof above their heads. The
money we earn is good, money is great. This is nothing compared to
the money we create for our clients. For every 1 peso commission we
earn, we create 1000 pesos for our clients. If we take home 1M in
commissions in one year, we create 1B pesos for the Filipino
community. But the money we create transcends peso value, because of
what we do our clients have a sense of purpose by setting aside money
for future needs such as education and retirement. We give them peace
of mind knowing that if anything should happen the lifestyle of their
family will continue even with them. We are able give them dignity in
the most critical periods of their lives by funding their treatment of
diseases like cancer stroke and heart attack.

My best friend, may you know him. Albert, Sir Albert Einstein once
said "Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again
and yet you expect different results". If you truly want to achieve
your life dreams and aspirations, if you truly want to have meaning in
your work and life, for you to have something you've never had, are
you willing to do something you've never done? Will you be able to
achieve this by staying employed, staying in your profession, staying
in your business or would you rather be one of us?
Thank you.

  1. The speech resonated well with my mission in business and the AGSB nation building mantra. Keep this up sir!

  2. I am really moved by every word you said. This is a noble advocacy as many Filipinos live paycheck to paycheck. In our school alone, our teachers ATM are mostly in the custody of the loan sharks. I advocate also the value of savings and insurances but sometimes, I get disappointed when those whom I convinced to get insurances ended up with lapsed policy or have withdrawn the cash values of their policy before it matures. Idol Leader Bryan, continue to spread this good work! Kudos to you.

    1. Like a famous personality who advocates financial literacy, (for a huge fee hahaha. We discussed this last Saturday)Leader and Brian and we leaders must pursue this. Savings is the first step to money and capital market. Capital formation can progress if people practice frugality.

Creating jobs, fast through the recruitment of consultants and sales executives is the correct way of fast tracking alleviation of poverty, and thus nation building. Not empty words but concrete action. If AGSB's nation building must come true, this is one concrete way of doing it now... Thanks Leader Brian for the speech; the grade reflects that appreciation
