Leadership subject at AGSB is an Ateneo advantage. It emphasizes leadership from within, authentic leadership. One of its pillars is love. This is odd in a cold steely corporate world. The others are heroism, ingenuity and self awareness. The goal of leadership is not only to develop oneself but to clone other leaders. Everybody has potential to be leader. What we do, even if we do not have followers influences/affects others. It is time to define Filipino leadership too

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this AVP! This made me more aware of breastfeeding and its benefits, because of this, This made me more curious of Breast milk which led me to google articles explaining their benefits. I hope one day, my children will also enjoy the benefit of this. Thank you for this.

Deletedoc charm your avp is already a testimony that you are an authentic leader. a 4 for me :)
ReplyDeleteBreast feeding is best for babies... My baby has a congenital heart disease. She has a severe tetralogy of fallot which doctors already said that is not curable. My wife chose to breast feed her until now. Only recently that we added other milk supplements.
ReplyDeleteWhat we observed is that she is not sickly or easily stricken with sickness. She has developed a strong immune system. She is not fat and very lively.
Continue your advocacy... continue working with the government (i think there is law now that milk supplements are not allowed on hospitals) rather than breast milk... continue sharing your ideas and time to others.... God Bless you!
Ikaw na ang coach ko sa breastfeeding Doc sa susunod kong baby.. :)
ReplyDeleteDoc Charm, your advocacy is very relevant. Last night, I saw in Bandila the feature made by Karen Davila about breastfeeding and the milk bank. There was one mother who was interviewed who is breastfeeding her baby, but she's still donating breast milk because she has excess of it. Her daughter looks so healthy being breastfed. And, her comment on why she was doing it was that it gave her satisfaction of being able to help other babies who are in need of breast milk.
ReplyDeleteHi Doc Charm, met with some of my college friends last weekend in Manila. Shared the importance of breastfeeding. Most of us are single pa, kaya some got pressured to get married talaga to prevent cancer.
