Leadership subject at AGSB is an Ateneo advantage. It emphasizes leadership from within, authentic leadership. One of its pillars is love. This is odd in a cold steely corporate world. The others are heroism, ingenuity and self awareness. The goal of leadership is not only to develop oneself but to clone other leaders. Everybody has potential to be leader. What we do, even if we do not have followers influences/affects others. It is time to define Filipino leadership too
Inspiring video from an inspiring and leadership-advocate person.. In our technology-centered world these days, people are becoming more complacent and lax simply because of our dependence to man-made technology and machines hence innate talents are forgotten and not honed, most especially leadership. Heroism parallels leadership. We don't necessarily have to die in Luneta or fight in Pugad Lawin just to be a hero or a leader. Leadership, I believe is a talent within us that needs to be discovered and practiced. Being a leader doesn't mean being connected in politics and being a powerful figure in the city. Being a role model to the society, standing in what we believe is right, not abandoning our principles, undoing wrong practices and not being negligent with social norms and not swarming into stigma can already make a difference. We just have to remember to always: Be more. Be active. Be involved. I support your advocacy Anne because I'm a leader too!!
