I have not been assigned to Cebu for long time I cant remember. I nearly got one last March, but at that time, I could not comply with the new requirement for the grade submission.
The new buildings and the great traffic jam gong and too the airport suggests that the volume of vehicles have increased brought about by increase in purchasing power of people, and increased business activity.Hence the continued growth of the AGSB Cebu Campus. They now have standard program in Cebu. Professor Menen conducts a 15 week Infotech Class in Cebut.

Leadership subject at AGSB is an Ateneo advantage. It emphasizes leadership from within, authentic leadership. One of its pillars is love. This is odd in a cold steely corporate world. The others are heroism, ingenuity and self awareness. The goal of leadership is not only to develop oneself but to clone other leaders. Everybody has potential to be leader. What we do, even if we do not have followers influences/affects others. It is time to define Filipino leadership too
How much has Cebu City developed?
ReplyDeleteIn 2011, I was assigned in Cebu to cover the Visayas region for the Treasury Marketing facet of our business. I immediately loved the City due to the work-life balance it offered which was close to impossible from achieving in Metro Manila with its horrendous traffic.
In Cebu, I can wake up at 7:30am leave at 8:10 and get to the office at 8:25 in time for our 8:30am requirement. I leave office at 6PM and get home at 6:20 including traffic and this is at a comparable distance of Makati to Fort!
Upon getting home I can still cook, go to the gym read, and still have enough time to watch tv and have a full night's sleep.
In 2013, I was sent back to Manila and only got the chance to go back to Cebu this year. What surprised me the most? Traffic!
Indeed, Cebu has progressed, perhaps exponentially, but this progression will make them no different from Manila. If they fail to instill discipline and apply the necessary measures to improve the traffic situation, they may not realize their city's full potential. And if they don't do something about it now, it might be too late the same way it appears too late for Metro Manila.
Traffic was heavy leaving Manila due to APEC and from MIA to downtown Cebu, the traffic was standstill at Mandaue and right before Ayala Center
